Traits and Possibilities
Mouse Heroes are unique and born differently. They have personal characteristics, outfits and traits. To help players make the most out of their squads, we dive deeper into the trait system on this section.

Which traits exist?

There are 50 different traits. The list of traits and their distribution is available at the bottom of this page.
Important: The trait distribution (likelihood to appear) changes overtime as new heroes are unboxed by players, or, spoiler alert, added on new Mouse Hero Season Drops.

Traits Distribution

Traits are not distributed evenly across the Mouse Haunt Universe, which means that finding a #Dancer mouse might be more difficult than finding a #Clumsy mouse.
The distribution of traits reflects how many Mouse Heroes exist with each unique trait. This is of course relevant on the odds of unboxing a Mouse Hero with a specific trait.
Since boxes are opened everyday, we will discuss traits in terms of how often they occur in the population, their frequency(in %), meaning how many times that trait shows up in all Mouse Heroes.
Trait distribution follows two rules:

1) Trait distribution is the same for all Mouse rarities

Any individual trait has the same distribution across all rarities. That means that the frequency of a trait (let's say, #Adventurer) for legendary Mouse Heroes is the same as for epic, rare and common Mouse Heroes.

2) Individual traits have individual distributions

Traits can have different distributions across the Mouse Heroes. The frequency of a trait (#Adventurer) is not necessarily the same as another trait (#Artistic).
Again, this percentage changes over time, as players open new Boosters and Mouse Heroes are added to the population.
Current distribution (Apr 2022):
Higher frequency traits: (~1.5x of average frequency)
  • #Adventurer, #Server, #Authoritarian, #Clever, #Clumsy
Lower frequency traits: (~0.5x of average frequency)
  • #Artistic, #Fatigued, #Cleptomaniac, #Dancer, #Cultural

Synergy Probability

Since traits do not have the same distribution, a specific synergy can be easier or harder to make depending on the traits of your Mouse Heroes.
A trait that shows up more times in the population (higher frequency) synergizes with more Mouse Heroes, because more Mouse Heroes share that same trait. The opposite is also true: A trait that has lower frequency synergizes with less Mouse Heroes, because less Mouse Heroes share that same trait.

Synergy Bonus Calculation

Synergies are calculated for Mouse Heroes on an individual level. This means that Mouse Heroes that are not contributing to a synergy do not get the farming bonus.
The calculation takes into consideration the rarity of the Mouse Heroes participating in the synergy. As an example, an Epic synergizing with a Legendary has a higher multiplier than an Epic with a Common.
We display the average farming bonus from current active synergies on a squad. That's why when a player adds a mouse that doesn't contribute to the synergy of the squad, the number diminishes - however, this does not mean that the player is disrupting their synergy, it only means that the ratio of farming bonus to the base farm is effectively lower. The player is farming more than before, but the average farming bonus is lower.

Possibilities breakdown

Here we go deeper into the synergy system and everything players can do with it.
Traits are based on the Mouse Hero outfit. For example a Pirate Hat always has the #Adventurer trait, while a King Torso has the #Scholar. On top of that, different mouse rarities have different outfit rules, explained in detail below.
Common Mouse Heroes
Commons have one or zero traits. This is because they do not have hats, and not always have torsos with traits. Therefore they can only achieve 2a or 3a synergy type at best.
Rare Mouse Heroes
Rares have one or two traits. All rares have hats with traits, but not always a trait on their torso. The amount of traits a Rare has determines what is the best synergy it can achieve.
Epic Mouse Heroes
Epics always have hat and torso with traits. However, the epics can have duplicated traits coming from their hat and torso, and on this special case, only one of the traits is counted towards synergy (effectively it counts as having only one trait). It is possible to achieve any synergy combination with Epics.
Legendary Mouse Heroes
Legendaries have fixed sets, which means that they are predictable, but can be a bit stubborn. For example, a Legendary Pirate always has the same pirate hat and pirate torso, which means it will always have the #Adventurer and #Greedy traits.
With fixed sets come fixed possibilities, meaning the perfect squad is very rare (as it should be). Analyzing the current trait distribution, here are the best synergies possible for squads with only Legendaries.
  • 3a3b Synergy: There is only 2 combinations of traits that can make 3a3b:
    • Cooker + Foodie, (Chef, Baker and French)
    • Clumsy + Server. (Maid, Bellboy, 60s Dinner)
  • 3a2b Synergy: There are 3 combinations of traits that can make 3a2b:
    • Greedy + Fancy, (Pimp, SMouse + a 3rd Mouse Hero)
    • Forgetful + Magical, (Wizard, Santas Helper + a 3rd Mouse Hero)
    • Outdoorsy + Impulsive. (Ranger, Lumberjack + a 3rd Mouse Hero)
  • 2a2b2c: There are no combinations of only Legendaries capable of achieving 2a2b2c synergy.
Remember that you can combine different rarities, so any Legendary can reach the best synergies.
